About
I'm an urban planner and co-founder of Humankind, a multidisciplinary collective accelerating the transition towards urban happiness for all. I help cities to look beyond functionality and to plan urban spaces that make people smile. All the projects I participate in have one thing in common: they create people-oriented cities. Being a Jane Jacobs’ enthusiast and a fan of great public spaces, I am keen on making cities better with an emphasis on local, innovative interventions and on including residents in urban planning.
Children's Book
The world is changing, and sometimes it's difficult to fit in. Johnny, a lovely and friendly car, experiences it firsthand. One day, Johnny's family finds out how nice it is to use a bicycle instead of a car. Johnny misses his family and dreams of becoming a bike. Can Johnny turn into a two-wheeler? How does his family react? Can Johnny find a new purpose in life?

I would like to join the team at Humankind, do you have open positions?
That's great! However, contacting me directly won't give you an edge. We believe in fairness and transparency. Hence, our website is your best bet, where all open positions are listed, along with an email for general inquiries. To stay updated on new openings, also follow our LinkedIn page.
I would like to have a (virtual) coffee with you to learn about your work/urbanism
I really value the opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals. Unfortunately, I'm receiving many requests and my schedule is packed. So it's challenging to find time more meetings. However, I've thought of an alternative way to facilitate a collective exchange of ideas. It's still just an idea, but would be happy to hear your feedback.I'm considering organizing a monthly (online) "open cafe" where urbanists who share our common interests can come together and engage in dynamic discussions. It would be a platform for sharing multiple perspectives and exploring various topics related to urbanism. If this idea sounds interesting to you, please answer some questions here. I'll keep you updated once I've gathered enough responses to move forward.

Do you give talks/tours/workshops for free?
On occasion, yes. Particularly when it involves groups with a cause close to my heart, or an event that piques my curiosity. But do bear in mind, my time is not always as flexible as I would like. If you have a compelling proposal, I'm all ears! However, please remember that I can't promise to fulfill every request due to other commitments and the need to balance various aspects of my work.
